I really missed this last weekend so I'm looking forward to spending part of my mother's day checking out all of your sites!
Earlier in the week I mentioned that I was going to be having a Mini Retreat with the Lord while Chad and the girls were at karate. Thursday night was my first date with the King. (doesn't that sound better than mini retreat?)
After they left and I got dinner going, I gathered my Bible and journal, turned on some music and just got quiet.
Because I was intent on listening to the Lord, (and I'm easily distracted) I picked music by my all time favorite instrumental artist. (Chad would say that I have a one-sided love affair with him, but that isn't really true.) When I grow up, I want to play piano like this man....
For me, the most intimate worship time comes when I'm alone at a piano. That is why I'm choosing to share this piece with you. It takes me to a place where I can't help but hear from my Savior....
Have a blessed Mother's Day weekend.
Enjoy Jim Brickman's "Angel Eyes"

I love music so much....always have. It speaks so much to me and brings me into such a sweet place with my Savior. HAPPY MOTHERS DAY!! =)
I forgot how much I love piano music...thank you!!
I LOVE me some Jim Brickman too! A bad day always seems to float away with his music.
Good choice!
Beautiful! Happy Mother's Day and Happy Anniversary. Ours is the end of the month too.
Girl I love it! I am so glad you are having those "mini retreats!"
Much love,
Ang
Beautiful. I can see why you aspire to play like that.
I love instrumental pieces. It gives you time to make up your own words! Happy Mom's Day!!
How wonderful it must be to make music to the Lord. I always wanted to learn piano but never had the opportunity. My 19 yr. old started lessons in 2nd grade and played throughout high school. I think she still enjoys sitting down and playing (her way of relaxing).
Thanks for the comments at my site. I hope you have a wonderful Mother's Day!!

This is so very beautiful! I am a Jim Brickman fan, too. Just can't ever get enough of his music I don't think.
Happy Mother's Day weekend!
So beautiful! I'm going to have to get one of his CD's. I just love instrumentals.
Thanks for sharing and Happy Mother's Day!

So beautiful!
And I love that you got to have a date with the King! :)
Happy Mother's Day!!!!
Beautiful music. I have never heard of him until you wrote about him awhile back. There is just something so comforting about listening to the sound of the piano alone.
I LOVE piano music. CDs of Dino Kartsonakis got me through labor and delivery and mastitis and all sorts of things. Nothing can bring me peace like God's music (especially hymns!) played on the piano.
Steph come back I tagged you! Oh yeah...Happy Mothers Day!
Nice blog; I'll be here often. And thank you for so much those words "mini-retreat with the Lord". I've never liked the terms "quiet time" etc,.
That was beautiful. The piano is my all time favorite instrument. I know what you mean about missing a Then Sings My Soul Saturday. It's one of the high lights of my week. And there is always such a wonderful variety of music to listen to.
Music is the gift we get to take to heaven with us...I always tell my girls that! It is the universal language...this was beautiful...thanks for sharing and for stopping by my blog! HAPPY MOTHER's DAY!
